Artwork and its uses

What is art for?

Why buy art? Give me a minute, maybe two if you're a slow reader, and I'll tell you why I think it's worth it. If you agree I might even have some suggestions for you.

What is art for?

There's a lot of interesting thoughts on this.

If you look up art, you'll get a definition like this, "the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination.." Snooze...zzz..zzz *Slaps Face*

Well great, that sure helps. Yeah right! My favorite thought is that art is something that's supposed to uplift humanity. Now the way I'm gonna use that here isn't so much for lifting humanity in the grand sense. Rather I view art as something to lift you personally. To help you feel better about your day.

Having art on your walls helps to lift you up, to create an environment you can feel comfortable in.

No more of those endless white walls, the creeping feeling of being trapped in an endless snowstorm.

Personally, I don't have more than a couple feet of space on the walls without some kind of photo or print breaking up the monotony.

If you promise not to tell my wife...I'll admit that I even secretly like all the color.

P.S that's just between us though, cause we're close like that.
